As assessment reporting deadlines approach, your institution may be looking for ways to document and report the impact of COVID-19 on assessment plans. We recently added a new template type to Planning that allows users to communicate changes to key assessments or planned assessments where data will not be collected.

Site administrators can now easily add this template to their site. Simply navigate to Settings > Plans and select the “add new COVID-19 Notes Template” on the edit page for any plan where it’s needed.


To make it even easier to use, adding the COVID-19 Notes template will instantly grant permission to any user of that plan with the ability to create an item from it. No manual permission updates needed.

We hope this small addition to Planning will have a big impact on your ability to accurately report assessment data during this period of remote instruction.
